Here's the assessment info for 2026. Middle school directors please make sure that your program is registered with KMEA. Please take notice of the due dates for Large Ensemble Registration (January 9) and Selection & Classification (Feb 24).
Please complete the Scheduling Survey as soon as possible.
Here are the reminders from the fall assessment managers meeting.


Large Ensemble Assessment:  March 24-26, 2026  at the Glema Mahr Center in Madisonville (24th - Evening only, 25th - Morning, afternoon, and evening, 26th - Morning and afternoon)
Solo & Ensemble Assessment: Saturday April 25, 2026 at McLean Co. MS

School Registration: PLEASE make sure this is done and paid to KMEA (Especially Middle School Bands) before registering for Assessment events. KMEA will not process your Assessment Registration until this is done. High schools that competed in KMEA Marching Band should have already done this.

High School Large Ensemble Assessment Registration: Please complete and send money to KMEA by January 9, 2026.  Any forms/money turned into KMEA after that will not be processed until after the KMEA conference.

High School Bands - you may pick your classification piece off either the KMEA list or the National Band Association list.  IF the piece is on BOTH lists you MUST go with the classification that is on the KMEA list.
